The Magick of Colours
Go see for yourself!
This is a relatively simple ritual to perform.  What you need is the right frame of mind, the appropriate candle, and a quiet place.  Prepare yourself with your favourite relaxation technique, then light your candle, gaze into the flame, and concentrate on (visualise) your goals.  Another method is that as part of your ritual, you etch a symbol into the candle before lighting it, something that represents your need (i.e., a heart for love problems, a coin for money problems, etc., be creative!), always visualising the desired results.  Never forget to thank the Deities and the Flame when you have finished, and please, don't insult the flame by blowing out the candle, use your fingers or a candle snuffer.  Better yet, let the candle burn itself out.

If it's not possible to let the candle burn all the way down, well, there are two schools of thoughts about what you might do with it.  While it is clear that this candle should not be used again in another ritual, there are those that advocate discarding what's left.  Personally, I hold with those that find this practice not only a bit wasteful, but maybe even slighty disturbing to see a ritual object in the dustbin.  So I might light that candle again someday, a source of light, beauty and a feeling of warmth.  And perhaps, just perhaps, a bit of the magick will linger ...
